The Federal Government on Tuesday in Abuja pledged to look into the controversy over the cut-off marks for students seeking for admission into universities.

He tried to start a conversation with her but she ignored him and carried on walking home, the Old Bailey heard.

Ibori’s Brother-In-Law Sentenced To Two And A Half Years For Money Laundering

Rowland Nakanda, a Nigerian national, had previously been found guilty of two counts of money laundering following a month-long trial at Southwark Crown Court and was sentenced today, Friday, 24 July.

The investigation into Nakanda commenced during the wider inquiry into the corrupt activities of the former governor of Delta State in Nigeria, James Ibori, between 1999 and 2007. 

Father poisons his 41 day old baby in order to divorce wife

Last Friday at about 7 am, Kazeem Olajide allegedly poisoned his 41-day-old baby,Zainab Olajide, in a desperate attempt to divorce his wife. The incident happened at Toluwalase Estate, Ijoko-Abule, in the Lemode area of Ogun State.

It was learnt that the mother, Abosede Ogundare, had left Zainab with Kazeem to sweep the compound only to come back and met the baby with foams gushing out from her mouth.

Body found in suitcase near Seattle, second time since May

A badly decomposed body was discovered on Monday in a suitcase near a dumpster in the city of SeaTac, Washington, the second time since May that human remains have been found stuffed into luggage in the Seattle area.

The body was discovered at about 8:30 a.m. when a maintenance worker came across the suitcase at an apartment complex in SeaTac, home to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, King County Sheriff's spokesman Stan Seo said.

Curtis and Catherine Jones were arrested after they hatched a plot to kill a male relative they claimed had been sexually abusing them. Curtis is the nation's youngest convicted murderer.

S4C TV viewing figures fall in Wales

S4C's TV audience across the UK rose but it fell within Wales 

There has been a 6% fall in the number of people who watched S4C on TV each week in Wales in the last year, the channel has said.

For at least three minutes a week during 2014/15, 360,000 people watched compared to 383,000 the year before. Chairman of the S4C Authority Huw Jones said viewing figures in the annual report should be "handled with care". He said public service channels BBC Two and Channel 4 had also seen falls of between 5-7%.

Lufthansa plane in near miss with drone on Warsaw approach

A Lufthansa plane nearly collided with a drone as it was approaching Warsaw's international airport in Poland, officials say.

The incident happened on Monday afternoon with the drone coming within 300ft (100m) of the plane from Munich, Germany, an airport spokesman said.
The crew of the Lufthansa Embraer ERJ-195 reported the near collision with the drone at 2,500ft (760m).
Police are investigating the incident, the spokesman said.

Man Bites Off Armed Robber's Ear And Manhood in Aba
