Ann Coulter: Real Americans hate soccer
'No American whose great-grandfather was born here is watching soccer,' columnist writes
Millions of Americans watched the United States advance in the World Cup on Thursday. Ann Coulter was probably not one of them.
In a column published on Wednesday,
Coulter, the conservative pundit and provocateur, blasted the sport of
soccer and trolled its U.S. fans, whom she refers to as "Americans" —
quotes marks included.
"I've held off on writing about
soccer for a decade — or about the length of the average soccer game —
so as not to offend anyone," Coulter's column begins. "But enough is
enough. Any growing interest in soccer can only be a sign of the
nation's moral decay."

According to sources close to the couple, actress Nuella Njubigbo and her husband movie producer Chidi Tchikere are expecting their first child. Nuella is said to be in the early stages of her pregnancy.
"Yes she's pregnant and they are very excited. They are so in love and so happy together. She's not showing yet because she's in her first trimester."Chidi and Nuella tied the knot in a traditional ceremony on March 29th but did their introduction in January 2014. News broke last week of Ronaldo’s ailment, triggering a hushed celebration from Ghanaian soccer fans who secretly dread the national team playing the Portuguese team with Ronaldo in striking position.
A statement issued by the Portuguese FA on Wednesday, confirmed that the 2008 FIFA Player of The Year was diagnosed with tendonitis in his left kneecap area, and is also nursing a muscle problem in his left thigh. Tendonitis is an inflammation, irritation and swelling of tendons, and even though this is quite a common condition with athletes, Kwaku Bonsam claims he is responsible for that condition, and that no doctor can cure it until Ghana is clear from Ronaldo’s reach.
“I said it four months ago, that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World Cup, or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana, and the best thing I can do is to keep him out through injury.” he said on the Ghana-based Angel FM in Kumasi.
“I am very serious about it. Last week, I went around looking for four dogs and I got them to be used in manufacturing a special spirit called ‘Kahwiri Kapam’”he added.
“This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury, because it is spiritual. Today, it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day, and it is something else.”
Kwaku Bonsam paid a visit to SaharaTV some months ago while visiting New York. In that interview he claimed that some Pastors paid him visits at his shrine to seek spiritual help.
Ronaldo missed the 0-0 game with Greece over the weekend, and is also likely to miss Portugal’s World Cup warm-up matches against Mexico, and Ireland. It is however not clear if he will recuperate early on time for the World Cup.
Ghana plays Portugal on June 26 in Brasilia, in their final Group G match. Group G comprises Germany, USA, Portugal and Ghana.

Chuck Noll, most successful American football coach, dies
The most successful American football coach of all time,
Chuck Noll, has died at the age of 82.
Noll led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Superbowl victories between 1975
and 1980. Local media reported that he died of natural causes at his home in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
He had a reputation as a meticulous coach and his team achieved renown for their defence - or the "Steel Curtain" as it became known.
"He will go down as the guy who helped create the mystique that exists now with the Steelers," Noll's successor as coach Bill Cowher told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
A former linebacker with the team, Andy Russell, told the paper: "He'd tell us life is a journey and you never arrive. He was always telling us at some point to find our life's pursuit.
"I love the guy. He was a tremendous mentor in my life."
