EZEEMO CALLS FOR TOTAL INDEPENDENT OF NIGERIA JUDICIARY

Following the annulment of the river state governorship election by the election petition tribunal stitting in Abuja, the Anambra state leader of people progressive alliance (PPA) Mr Godwin Ezeemo yesterday called for a total independent of the judiciary
Ezeemo who made the call during the commissioning of P-NAJS suites Ltd/silver jubilee wedding anniversary of Chief Philip Umehchukwu and Chidubem Umehchukeu at Nkpiikpa layout, Obosi , posited that with the freedom of the  judiciary it would be able to render credible justice that would not be contested outside the shores of Nigeria.
He said "That in the case of James Ibori in 2012 that was given count of 170 charges by EFCC but was acquainted by the court and later picked up in United Kingdom for same offence he was acquainted for in Nigeria."
He however expressed satisfaction with the judiciary on the way it is handling the election petition both at the National and state levels, adding that "sanity is gradually returning to the system which shows that those who think that they can manipulate power can be stopped."
According to him "the decision of the tribunal shows that the electoral umpire Independent National Election Commission (INEC) still has a lot of work to do"
On President Mohammadu  Buhari's alleged selectiveness in the war against corruption he said " Buhari should not be judged for now as he has just commenced with the immediate past administration to avoid being too cumbersome for him"
Ezeemo also disagreed with the alleged marginalization of Ndi Igbo adding that President Buhari should be given time to unveil what he has for the people
