(PHOTOS) Media Icon Advocates Professionalism In Online Information Dissemination

 
A media icon, Chief  Uche Nworah, Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS)  has charged online publishers to cultivate the habit of constructive use of the internet to better their society.
Outlined the rich benefits in the online services, if well harness to the growth of human and natural resources.
He, gave the charge while addressing a group of Anambra Online Publishers (AOP) who paid him a courtesy visit at his Awka office, stressed the need that young people should explore the internet to shape the opinion of the society and bring information to the attention of people.



 He decried the idea where people engage in frivolous activities while sorting the net, noted with facts that greater opportunities are available on the internet, if explore to set positive agenda for the society.
Chief Nworah charged the youths to ensure they research their works before publishing online, which may earn them personal benefits and international recommendation to their advantage.
“Online is a very powerful tool to help set agenda in society, it is also a veritable instrument to help shape opinion and bring information to the attention of the people”.
“Aside personal gains, you can also explore online very well in terms of career growth. I tell young people, when you go online, what do you do online? “
The media icon further encouraged online publishers to refrain from activities of using the internet as a tool to attack individuals or government, but urged them to maintain best practices in the interest of the society.
                                     
The multi internet publications award winners, condemned in strong terms writing in text language by some online publishers with poor tenses and grammatical flaws, which falls below international standard and advocated for sound professional practices before they can attract  international commendation suitable to their niche.
"I want to urge you to always channel your online platform to your benefit, make sure you don’t join people that go online to insult people and be stand sure that You research what you are writing before publishing".
"I also want to encourage you to Stop using the language of text message, leave for yourself a digital DNA that the world would surely want to seek your opinion about your area of specialization".
" You must have your digital footprint established, by letting your name and stuff you are writing about be among the first ten in google search of your locality, whatever you are doing, ensure you do it very well". He advised

Earlier in the meeting, the leader of the delegation, Bamidele Ajayi advocated for a unique platform between the union and ABS to further propergate the importance of online services and to educate the youths on the need to publish right content about their environment to the growth of their society.
Among other requests were the call on the people not to use the internet as an instrument of attack on government and private individuals as well as to fashion out a way to reduce the number of imbalances currently experienced on the internet with the renewed call on the youths to be resolute on doing what is right on the net for the development of their society.
High-point  of the occasion was the presentation of a collection of  his online publication of Chief Uche Nworah, the Managing Director of the Anambra State broadcasting Service to further equip the knowledge of the Anambra Online Publishers members.
