PDP chieftains exchange blows in Imo state


It was a free for all at the weekend at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat in Owerri, as the caretaker committee members, led by Vitalis Okafor and the outgoing executive of the party led by its chairman, Nnamdi Anyaehie, and their supporters threw decorum to the wind and engaged in fisticuffs.
Okafor whose caretaker committee was inaugurated on the 29th of January this year to pilot the affairs of the party for three months, had hardly settled down for business with his members when the Nnamdi Anyaehie led executive stormed the secretariat in a commando-like opera-tion and chased everybody away with all sorts of weapons.

Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Limited, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, yesterday splashed half a million to St Charles Obiofia Community Primary School, Nnewichi-Nnewi, Anambra state to complete its building project.
The occasion was the school’s annual inter-house sports competition and fund raising ceremony towards completing the school building and other projects.

A known 35-year-old prostitute was found dead in the early hours of Tuesday in a brothel in Kubwa, Abuja.

According to City News, the deceased, simply identified as Ome Enyi, a native of Cross River State, lived at the brothel for more than a year. Her companion, a yet to be identified man, lodged in the brothel the
previous night and was suspected to have slept in the same room with the deceased.A source alleged that the man checked out of the brothel on that fateful day before the corpse of the prostitute was discovered lying unclad on the floor inside the room.
