Five persons suspected to have been
involved in the September 21 kidnap of former Secretary to the Government of
the Federation, Olu Falae, were on Thursday
arraigned before Justice Williams Olamide of the Ondo State High Court sitting
in Akure.
The suspects, namely, Abubakar Auta, Bello Jannu, Umaru Ibrahim, Masahudu Muhammadu and Idris Lawal, were arraigned on a five-count charge of procuring or counseling another for the purpose of kidnapping, aiding and abetting to commit kidnapping and abduction, kidnapping, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and committing armed robbery

The act, according to the state attorney, Adeyemi Tuki, contravened section 5(1)(a) of the Ondo State Anti-kidnapping and Abduction Law.
She said the suspects and others now at large committed the offence on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Kajola, Eyinale Community in Akure, Ondo State.
After reading the charges to them, the accused persons pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Justice Olamide ruled that they be remanded in prison custody until November 10 for mention.
