The Scary Girl From The Ring: Then and Now

In 2002, Las Vegas-born actress Daveigh Chase inspired nightmares around the world as the lank-haired child in cult horror ‘The Ring’.

Now, thanks to Buzzfeed who tracked down her Instagram feed, we’re glad to report she’s much less scary these days.

Daveigh was just 12 when she landed the role of Samara, the haunting girl who stalked the terrified cast of ‘The Ring’. She’s now 24 and continues to work in acting and modelling.

After the American remake of the Japanese horror film, she also appeared in the straight-to-DVD ‘Beethoven’s 5th’ plus episodes of ‘Cold Case’, and ‘CSI’.

Fun fact for you: The same year Daveigh was scaring us all witless, she was also charming us as the voice of Lilo in Disney’s hugely under-appreciated ‘Lilo & Stitch’.
