Photos: 9yr old boy survives after a car hits and threw him 6 metres in the air

Nur Aidil Hakim Mohammad, 9, miraculously walked away with only a few scratches after he was knocked by a car and flew six metres in the air at Jalan Permatang Pauh, Indonesia, on Sunday October 25.
In the footage, Mohammad was seen running across the road before being knocked by a Toyota Altis. He was thrown in the air and landed some six meters away. Miraculously, the only injuries he sustained were a few scratches on his body and his head.

The car driver had been recording his journey from Seberang Jaya to Mak Mandin and caught the entire incident in a 1 minute 2 second video footage, which has since gone viral on social media. Comments poured in, with many netizens commenting on the incredible luck of the Sekolah Kebangsaan Permatang Pauh pupil.
The incident, however, has traumatised Aidil, who confessed that he did not dare watch the video. He said during the incident, he and a friend named Azim, had been trying to cross to get to a river on the other side of the road.
"That was the first time I crossed a road without my father by my side. I regret not listening to my mother, who always advised me against crossing roads by myself," he told reporters here yesterday. Aidil's mother Rusmawati Abdul Rahman, 41 said she was thankful that her son had suffered only minor injuries. She said that she had been distraught when her neighbours told her that her son had been knocked by a car.

"I ran to the scene of the accident and found Aidil unconscious. He had fainted after being knocked by the car and only regained consciousness while paramedics were treating him at the scene of the accident. Those moments while he was unconscious were the longest moments in my life," she said
She said Aidil was warded for a day at the Seberang Jaya Hospital and was discharged the next day after checks revealed that he had no serious injuries. Rusmawati appealed to the authorities to build a flyover or a zebra crossing at the area, to avoid serious accidents in the future.
